(National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology) formerly DOEACC Society
NIELIT is implementing a joint scheme of All India Council for Technical Education and Department of Information Technology (formerly Department of Electronics (DOE)), Government of India. The Scheme is administered by the DOEACC Society, an autonomous body of the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India. The Society is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
The objective of the Scheme is to generate quality manpower in the area of Information Technology (IT) at the national level, by utilizing the facilities and expertise available with the training institutions/organizations in the non-formal sector.
Under the Scheme, computer training institutions/organizations in the non-formal sector are granted accreditation for conducting specified Levels of courses, subject to their meeting well defined norms and criteria. All courses are valid for Government job.

Objective
This course is designed to aim at imparting an basic level appreciation programme for the common man. After completing the course the incumbent is able to use the computer for basic purposes of preparing his personnel/ business letters, viewing information on internet (the web). sending mails, preparing his business presentations, playing games etc. This allows a common man or a house-wife to be also a part of computer users list. This would also aid the PC penetration programme. This helps the small business communities, house wives to maintain their small accounts using the computers and enjoy in the world of Information Technology, this course is more practical oriented.
Prerequisites
Since this is a course on Computer Appreciation, no prerequisite course is required. However, it is expected that the person has some elementary knowledge of English.

O - Level Foundation Level (Click to see)
DOEACC 'O'-Level (ACCR No. O1360)
The DOEACC '0 Level is the Foundation (Junior Programmer) level course, which provides students with an insight into the operational and programming aspects of computers. The course structure has been designed keeping in mind a student who is a beginner in the world of computers, but can ultimately be groomed as an assistant programmer, and can start a career in computer operations in various fields.
The course duration is of one year and is covered in approximately 480 contact hours. It comprises of four paper and a project leading to DOEACC '0' Level certification.
The coverage of this course is intended to impart knowledge of the latest trends in the IT industry in various areas such as Windows, Networking, Visual Basic, Internet and Web Page Designing, Client Server etc. It also provides an opportunity to hone and polish programming techniques and skills.
Eligibility
10+2 or ITI Certificate Course after 10th
Examinations
Examinations are conducted by the NIELIT in January and July each year on all-India basis. Students will take the examinations as per DOEACC norms. NIELIT O-Level consists of 04 theory exams, 04 practical exams & 01 project.
Award of DOEACC Qualifications
A student will be eligible for the award of '0' Level qualification as per DOEACC norms.

DOEACC 'A'-Level (ACCR No. A0532)
Doeacc 'A' Level is an Advanced Diploma Level Course. An A level qualifier is expected to be a key number of a software development team with all round capabilities to manage and guide a software project. In order to develop these capabilities the A level course has been so designed that a student acquire an in-depth knowledge of the concept

Examinations
Examinations are conducted by the DOEACC Society in January and July each year on an all-India basis. Students will take the examinations as per DOEACC norms.
Award of DOEACC Qualification
A student will be eligible for the award of 'A' Level qualification as per DOEACC norms. This qualification is recognised by the Government for the purpose of employment and widely accepted by PSUs, banks, MNCs and premier national companies.
